MISSION SERVICE 

Mission Statement:

Guided and inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Global Missions and Community Service ministries of First Presbyterian Church seek opportunities to serve and nurture the lives of God's people locally and throughout the world by joyfully giving of our time, talents, and resources; thus sharing Christ's love, hope, and grace for all.

COMMUNITY SERVICE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Angel Tree 

     Skills/Interests- Organization

     Time Commitment- As needed during the Christmas season

Curbside Cafe

     Skills/Interests- Cooking and serving meals to the homeless

     Time Commitment- 1-2 times per month

Good Shepherd Ministries

     Skills/Interests- Helping people

     Time Commitment- Varies

Grandparents Program

     Skills/Interests- Mentoring, childcare, meal service

     Time Commitment- Varies

Interfaith Hospitality Network

     Skills/Interests- Helping families transitioning from homelessness by acting as a

                                         host at church or preparing meals

     Time Commitment- Varies

Kairos Prison Ministry

     Skills/Interests- Compassion

     Time Commitment- 4 Saturdays and a 4-day weekend per year.

Other: Blanket drive, correspondence, seasonal events
